Did a decent performance without running too hard as I was still a bit sick. Missed the forest days before unfortunately but decided to at least take part in the sprint.

Interesting race but I did a few mistakes here and there. A big one to 15th where I was a bit unfocused and thougth this would be an easy one. I did not see the yellow in the terrain and did miss more than 2 minutes. Suboptimal micro route-choice (the last part) on the long 17th leg because of the refreshment point... than a small mistake to 22nd where it was way steeper and the valley was not really visible in the terrain I guess, plus ~1min. In the third last control I was not precise enough and meeting other runners helped me even more to miss a bit more than a minute. In general I felt good and I'm happy with that.

Tried to run fast. Still missed about 1minute in total. 20 secs to 3rd and 30 secs to 11th.

Analyze my orienteering #54

Last race of this SEEOC. Good first leg and I caught up Teodor with 4 mins. I knew some of the (problem) areas already from the last races and for 4th I stood on the path until the control - it was like 10meters above it. But 5th - I did not succeed as it was waaay too far from the depression so I needed an extra minute to find it (I let the gps signal stay as is). Did a 2 minute mistake to 7th feeling unsecure with the terrain. In the end I did another 30secs mistake to 13th pushing way too hard on the open area. And a suboptimal choice to 14th but in the end I was 12 secs faster than the second fastest so it was enough. I had the power in the legs.

Team mates did a good job, especially Valio who did came 1st with a good margin. I was way too calm and unfocused but what a start I did.. A 2 min mistake to 1st was nothing I said to myself and continued. Then a paralel mistake to 3rd cost me 4:30 more and I suddenly knew that should be it if I want to fight for the medals (and gold). Did a good job afterwards and caught up with the romanian guy on 8th control. Chose a suboptimal route choice to the spectator control but I didn't wanted to run together with him.. I ran full speed afterwards as I was told I'm 40secs behind. Going out on the last controls in the open area I did not see him so though it is either good or maybe too late. Luckily we won :)
Still no good feeling about the map even if it was 1:10000 this time.

Good beggining even though to 4th I did not see a track in the mid of the leg and crossed through the forest (~40secs) and then in the circle I ended up in the other depression. I've caught Ahmet Kacmaz 4 mins towards 4th as well and Fettah in the circle. BUT right before 6th in the green I lost my contact lense and stopped to replace it with a new one - they were gone and right after I tried to find the control without looking at the map at all, forcing the situation and made a big mistake - that also lead to another mistake tot 7th. Then I had to calm down and get back to the race again.. Luckily I chose a good route-option towards the long leg. I did a good butterly in the technical part except a minute mistake to 11th. And a 2 min mistake to 19th where I did not see the cliff.
In general I can say the map quality, print and paper were bad but that's life.

Good race, pushed to the limits as there are some faast guys at the Balkans :)
Did lose a few seconds to 11, 12 and 18 but nothing too much.

Always nice at Zlatni pyasatsi. Challenging course but I had nice flow. I did mistakes to 13th (I was on a path right after 12 and wasn't sure what is going on, so I entered the terrain towards 13 but it turned out I was on a wrong place...) and 16th (I entered the circle from the stone but after that I didn't see any reentrant so I decided to go right and ended up seeing the big reentrant/slope and had to go back).

It was a selection race for the EOC sprint team so we had to stay in the quarantine during the EYOC race and we ran the course right after that. Pity we got shittier print/paper quality. I did a decent performance but did few misses. Reading the control description and the map to 5th several times until I realise I just don't see the hedge on the map.. Small hesitation right before 6th as well. I lost 10secs to 7th missing the stairs (I did not realise at first that I had to go down into the canal for the small bridge) + not the best route so maybe 15secs in total for this route-choice leg. Bad route to 11th and also punched 15th as I thought I'm going for that one for a moment.. Suboptimal route choice to 14th as well.

Far from optimal. Some hesitations for 3rd control (30secs) but otherwise a good first part of the course. My first big problems were when I realized I went way far down on the way to 8th control (before the track). I did not read the map there and thought it's only downhill but in the end I had to climb hard to get to the track (~3 mins). Next mess was on 14th where the vegetation was changed and although I was less than 10 metes away from the control I didn't even look left since it was forest, and the open area with blackberies was onto the right (north from the control and not south) - ~1:40 mins lost.
Another minute I lost to 20th where saw a really big hill and didn't realize this is the one under the line. So it took some time to get back into the map (1 min). And then the last big miss was to 24th where I was completely scared to miss the control and go too far down. Obviously I stood way up on the slope (3+ mins).
In total ~9 mins misses combined with no power it was not my best day either.

Very nice terrain and a very bad performance. Didn't manage to match the map to reality in some places. Was quite close to both 1st (5min mistake), 3rd (4-5 mins mistake) and 4th (10 mins mistake). Then it was not fluent at all as well - some small ones to 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and a bigger one (2 mins) to 12.

I started quite unprepared as I was not going to race at all because of a shitty pain in the calf. Still I started well but going to 2nd I did a great disaster. Already on the way to 1st I started looking on the route choice to 2nd and I neeeeever succeed to understand if I am allowed to pass the rock cliff on the line or not but in the end I decided that because it continues in a forbidden area then maybe it is also forbidden. So switching my decision in the very last moment I was not prepared and then another mess was following. I missmatched the tracks and had to relocate for about a minute.
6th in the end. 1:25 behind Ivaylo Kamenarov.

Nice terrain, varied course alternating different areas. Did a small miss (30-40secs) in the circle of 4th where the two stones were more like a single one from below.. anyway pretty good race and an almost 6 minutes win.

Selection race. Did my best but suboptimal routechoices to 5th and 7th maybe about 5" each. Then I was not prepared for leg 12 because of the forested area and changed the plan on the go which costed ~10" also. I was not very fast on the climb to 10th where I got stuck in the green behind slow guys.

Decent race but I did not push very hard, some hesitations here and there. I accidentlly paused my gps-watch right before 3rd control until mid 5th leg.

Tough race, terrain full of stones, rocks, greens and steep slopes. I didn't manage the orienteering quite well - never succeeded to match the map with the terrain. I can speculate that the map should have been a bit more up-to-date but still 30 mins of mistakes is impressive :D

Mass start, one-man-relay. I had the Long-Short Butterfly and then Red-Green-Blue-Purple and the common LightBlue.
I missed quite badly the 4th red control passing right next to it and in the end of the green one I realized it is way too fast starting to loose the focus.. I was also strugling with the injury in the calf. So I took it a bit slower in the last 7kms but still decided to finish the race. I really enjoyed the course/terrain.

Pretty satisfied although I made a 30secs mistake to 4th control - wasn't able to fit the greens from the map with the terrain. Some hesitations here and there as well - the biggest to 17th (in the end it was way easier than I thought).

I did fine but was a bit too unsecure for 5th control - I lost concentration and had to relocate on the way. Towards the last control I was also a bit shaky, not really checking the map when I had to.
